DIY Planner Tutorial

Hey paper crafters, happy Thursday. I know it’s already the tail-end of February but I just finished setting up my planner and wanted to give you guys a tutorial and some free printable planner pages. This planner can be made and used any time of the year and would make a great gift. The printable planner pages can be customized for any year. I am a firm believer in keeping yourself organized and I really love writing down my ideas so a personal paper planner works perfectly for me.

The first page is a pocket page. I use this to hold stickers and post-it’s that I like to stick inside the planner to keep myself organized.

I added dividers to be able to flip to different sections quickly.

There are four different printable pages. They can be printed double sided or single sided to give you more room for writing, journaling and note taking. The first pages in my planner are the month-at-a-glance pages. You write the date in the blue hexagon making these printables customizable for any year.

The second set of pages is the weekly view. There is also a section for notes at the end of the week.

The next printable planner page is a shopping list. This was a page I really needed as I’m constantly writing down things I need to buy but always on different papers. This will help keep all of those shopping lists in one place.

The last printable is a notes/ideas page. I left this one blank. This one is for all of you brainstormers, jotters and doodlers. Take this page and make it into something special. You can attach photos, notes or anything that you want to remember. Decorate it and make it special.

I used the paper collection from Heidi Swapp called Sugar Chic to complete this DIY planner tutorial.

  14. *I was wanting to make my own planner but for the weekly layout instead of having the days horizontal I was hoping to have it in vertical columns with the days at the top. Also I would love to have the lines underneath the days. However, I can’t edit the documents. Is there a way I can access it so I can move the titles around?
    Thanks,

    Livy
