Black and White Mother’s Day Card Sketch #2
I am just loving these Mother’s Day crafts and cards. Mom’s are fun to celebrate. For the Moms out there, do you celebrate with your own Mom or as a Mom being celebrated? This black and white Mother’s day card and sketch was fun to make. While sketching, I originally planned on making it from neutral colors but things rarely go as planned. I ended up with a pretty cool black and white card that I love.
I followed the sketch for the most part but used a black card stock as the base. With an off white card stock as a contrast color and a pretty black and white chevron pattern for the center strip of paper. I used some punches to create the center embellishment area and hand wrote love you with a white gel pen. Of course I added some lovely faux stitching with my white gel pen.
I love the color contrast of this card. It has a Kate Spade feel. Do you have any Mother’s day traditions? I am thinking about starting some in my own family this year. I would love to know what you and your family do to celebrate Mom on Mother’s Day.
